Just Monkeying Around

We decided to take Boston to the Hogle Zoo on Saturday. This was our second attempt at this. Last year the trip lasted about 5 minutes; then Boston broke out in a horrible rash and I rushed out talking to a nurse the entire trip home. So, I finally got up the guts to attempt it again. I was so glad JT could go with us and we could just do something as a family. Boston seemed to like it okay, but the funny thing is his favorite part of the trip was the Momma duck and all her little ducklings following her. Jt said, "we should have just gone to a pond!" Boston did like the Ape though. Well.. he liked him when he was napping; when that big Monkey woke up Boston didn't know what to think and decided it was time to go. Another favorite of Boston's was the elephants. He loved the carousel and could hardly stand to wait in line. The train was unfortunately broken, and that was one thing I had really been looking forward to, oh well. We also went to the bird show and Boston thought it was pretty cool about half the time. After a couple hours though, and all the sun, Boston was pooped. He didn't even make it to Foothill drive before he was fast asleep. Ofcourse the nap only last about 1/2 an hour, but that's my kid for ya.
Father's day was great.. well I thought it was great because JT let me take 2 naps! ( I am so tired these days being in my last trimester and waking up at 3am. If you are around me at all you've heard me complain a million times!) Poor JT has to live with me!! Anyway, we made German pancakes and eggs for breakfast and since it was Stake Conference (which JT and I translate to "skip church day" because we're great Mormon's like that!) we organized Jocey's room a bit and just enjoyed being together as a family. JT and Boston also participated in another great "Sunday" activity of playing in the water out back. It may have not been the "Holiest" of things to do, but it was so wonderful watching my boys play together. I worry Boston will become an instant Daddy's boy when Jocelyn is born, so I guess I better enjoy every moment I have with him pulling me around and cuddling and freaking out when I leave the room!
One last note... I hope JT and my Dad know how much I love them and what amazing Father's I think they are. Growing up everyone would always tell me how lucky I was to have my Dad for my Dad and now they tell me how lucky I am to have JT as a husband. I know it is so true and I feel bad that I totally take for granted just how great they are. I am spoiled rotten. JT is always so willing to watch Boston or help me around the house with anything. He never tells me "no." Even the neighbors talk how I've got him wrapped around my little finger. Trust me, he doesn't always agree with me and I know I push him to his breaking point fairly often. I appreciate him sticking by my side through thick and thin and I hope he knows he is the Best thing that ever happened to me. I am so grateful to have him as my husband and the father of our children.

The zoo is a lot of work for a little guy. I'm sure it was fun for you since you are getting to that really uncomfortable stage! JT is definitely a good guy. Please tell him thank you again for helping me the other day!

Hey you didn't miss much at the zoo with the train being broke down and all. It is cool, but way way short.
I am glad you had a better time and go to spend time with your fam.
You are a real trooper for getting up a 3 and being in the last months of pregnancy. Good luck!

There's nothing like the zoo to wear a kid out! I love having them run run run and then just plop and fall asleep!

Boston is getting so big!!!
Looking at those pictures totally makes me miss you guys even more. I wish we lived closer!
Yes, I would agree that you have JT wrapped around your finger. Ben tells me "no" all the time and it is a headache to get him to do anything. You are so lucky!
I love you to pieces and miss you more than you know.

We are thinking of venturing out to the Zoo next week. So thanks for the pre-view!! I don't know I always think its going to be this exciting, "oh my goodness I can't believe I see a tiger right in front of me- kind of excitement and then the kids are like...ah... But hopefully this year Jocelyn gets more excited at seeing the animals and Bridger will actually pay attention to the animals! Also you look like you have some great guys!! Your hubbie and your little son are so cute, and I'm so happy for you and your super cute family!! Also LOVE the new blog design!! Super Summer

I can't wait to see what your little girl looks like! If she's half as cute as Boston, she'll be a doll!
P.S. Tuesday might be the day for a hair cut

Well hopefully you guys had a great Sunday.

We love and miss you guys. Give Boston a huge hug and kiss from us. Because we both know he would HATE it if I did.
