After the walk we headed over to Discovery Gateway. Jocey was way too tired, so JT headed home with her. I love Discovery Gateway. It is such a great place for Boston to practice his pre-tend play and social skills. He had a blast with cousin Jack.
Monday we headed up to the zoo. Both Boston and Jocey loved it! I am always a bit disappointed by Hogle Zoo. But, the baby elephant and all of the monkeys were super cool. A highlight was the train ride, loved by all.
Tuesday brought the Aquarium and the new Penguin exhibit. My kids Love the Aquarium and the Penguins there are so much better than at the zoo.
Wednesday we prepped for our Jewlery party. Hayley has started selling Pursey Pickles jewlery and she has the cutest stuff. I totally got hooked up and love all my new bling! The party was not a hit.. sorry Hayley. But we got a sitter for the kids and Hayley and I had a great time watching Parenthood and chatting.
The downfall of our week of fun hit at about this point. Jack had been battling pink eye thanks to my little Jocey all week, but that afternoon he got a fever and started throwing up. He was sick the rest of their stay and it was so hard to watch him feel so crummy. Boston loved having Jack sleep on his trundle, so when he got sick and had to sleep with Hayley he came right up to him and said "Do you want to sleep in my room Jack? It's nigh night. Come on Jack, it will be ok." How do you say no to that???
We made two trips to the instacare with no real help. (They gave her the whole "It's just a virus spill.") Boston and Jocey did ok entertaining themselves at the hospital and Jocey snagged herself a boyfriend in about 5 minutes. That girl is such a flirt. She must get it from her father because I was never like that.
Thursday we stayed close to home, but we made one last attempt at doing something fun Friday while Boston was at therapy and visited the Dinosaur Museum. Jack really shoudn't have gone, he was just too sick, but we still had a good time.
Friday night Hayley and I went to the Sugarland concert. Honestly, it was one of the Best concerts I have ever been to. We had a blast and it reminded me why I get up at 4:45 am every morning. I love my job. Thank You 101.5 The Eagle! Also check out the crazy concert lady. I am always amazed when people are this confident.
Saturday we ventured back to the Dinosaur Museum for Boston's friend Spencer's birthday party. The kids had such a good time. The highlight... Boston telling everyone "NO SINGING HAPPY BIRTHDAY FRIENDS.... JUST ME!!" and he sang Happy Birthday to Spencer all by his self. (He repeated this scenario at my Grandpa's birthday party Sunday! Ahh the sensory overload of the birthday song.)
Jt was kind enough to finish out the party with the kids, while I ventured off to the spa with my Mother In-law and sister in-law Kelli. It was a little piece of heaven on earth. We then paid a visit to one of my favorite restraunts Buca Di Beppo and had the best salad, caprese, pasta, and this ginormous sundae that we nearly finished!
Poor Hayley and sick Jack headed home with my Dad (who had to come up for the day for a conference.) You should have seen Jocey crying when my Dad was leaving. She would honestly choose my Dad over me any day..and we all know how much she loves her Momma.
Mother's Day was wonderful. Boston made me this darling card with a flower that opens up and reveals his cheesy face smile. He was so excited to give it to me at Terrific Tots. Jt was so good to me. We had two dinners and it couldn't have been a better Mother's Day.
Jt and I also celebrate 8 married years today. That boy is honestly the best thing that ever happened to me. He makes me a better person in so many ways. He inspires me and is the best husband and daddy I could ever ask for. I love you honey!

Wow, you have been busy. I am so sorry to hear that the kids got sick! Boston sounds so sweet, I am sure Jack just loves him.
I need to call you and chat about dates. I think those dates you asked me about totally work. Call me (or I'll call you) and we can get this figured out. I can't wait to see you. Love you!!!
