Ode to the Man

The love of my life turns 29 tomorrow. As I was reflecting on my kiddos I quickly realized that everything that is good in my life is because of JT. We live in a beautiful safe home because he gets up early and works late every day. Our children are here because he gave me a chance 7 years ago. He brings out the best in me. The glass is always full for him. He never stresses, never quits, rarely complains.
He has had more thrown at him lately than most people could handle. ( with the passing of his Dad, the crazy mortgage business in this struggling economy, etc. etc.) He doesn't complain. Just takes life step by step and conquers whatever is thrown his way. He literally is everything I wish I was and more than I ever will be. He listens to me ramble every night about the kids when I know he wishes I would just shut up or talk about golf. Speaking of golf he's only gone a couple times this year because I always say I need him. He comes straight home from work and helps me. He gets both kids up in the morning while I'm On Air and takes care of them while juggling to get his shirt and tie on. Once again he never complains.
You know 50% of marriages end in divorce these days. They say that number raises to 80% when you have a child on the autism spectrum. That will never ever happen to us because I won't let him go. He's stuck with me... craziness and all he's stuck.
I love his laugh, the way he's always being sarcastic, he's always teasing, making a joke. He helps me around the house. Helps me pick up every night. I could go on and on about him. He's just one of those guys that everyone hopes there daughter will marry. He's not the bad guy that girls think they want, he's the guy that you can always count on that will never leave you in tough times. He's just so amazing.
I am so grateful he was born. I'm so grateful his birth Mom decided to place him and his twin for adoption. I'm so glad that MaryAnn and James Young raised him and that he moved to St. George and we met. He's everything I never knew I always wanted!!! He's not what I was looking for... he's more... so much more.
I love you more than words Sweetheart. Happy Happy 29th Birthday to you and CJ.

Happy Birthday JT! Carly, you are the sweetest wife ever. We could always tell those things about the both of you, even with only living close for a year. I never knew JT was adopted. We are adopting a baby girl in January. Now I pay attention to those things and it brought a smile to my face.
