I've Been Tagged!!

20 years ago... I was 7 and I had just finished 1st grade in Mrs. Devy's class at Lehi Elementary. I was painfully shy as a child and didn't have many friends as a result. I probably played with one of my only friends Natalie Proctor. I remember she had one of those Mother Goose toys that talked and sang all the nursery rhymes and I thought it was the coolest toy ever. I'm sure I also hung our with my cousin Ashley a lot. I looked up to her so much. We loved Rainbow Bright and Strawberry Shortcake.

10 years ago... I was 17 and getting ready to head to Pasadina, California to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts for the summer. It was one of the best experiences of my life. I stayed with a woman who owned snakes and I fell in love with those snakes that summer. I slept till almost noon all the time, got lots of sun, and pierced my upper ear. (My parents were furious about that when they picked me up!) I went to several parties where I was the only non-drinker and everyone from school had a trillion questions for me about Mormons. I remember everyone smoked inbetween class and I was floored because these were 14-18 year olds smoking! I became a bit less sheltered that summer! That was also the summer my family moved to St. George without me. Little did I know there were some rough/wild days ahead!

5 years ago... I was 22 and in summer school at the University of Utah. All I remember about our first years of marriage was endless classes, but still finding time somehow to be with my hubby. We were looking into making the jump of buying a house but still living in a tiny little basement apartment at that point. We had big dreams and lots of love. We didn't have kids so we could go anywhere and do anything we wanted. I worked as a teller at Far West Bank and I believe that was the year I was robbed 3 times!

3 years ago... I was 24 and we were living in our first home at Traverse Mountain in Lehi. I loved that house and how we were able to pick out everything. I loved buying abstract art and planting flowers in the back yard. We won our hot tub when we bought that home and we were having so much fun enjoying life. We hung out with our friends Ben and Ashley a lot ( I miss them dearly.. they live in Colorado now :( ) Ashley and I graduated that summer and I was really enjoing just working 9-5. That was the summer before I got prego and we were just enjoying our last year of freedom! We did have our little Sunggle dog though and I loved buying him outfits and taking my little "baby" for long walks. I had also started doing traffic on 101.5 the Eagle and other local stations and I was so happy to be doing a job I loved!

1 year ago... We were getting ready to celebrate Boston's 1st birthday! I was preparing to wean him from nursing and we had just settled in our home here in Herriman. It was so fun getting to know our neighbors ( I really only made friends with about 3 of our neighbors in our old neighborhood.) so it was great to feel so welcome. We have loved making the home our own and it's also been so great to live by my best friend Whitney (we've been friends since H.S.) She's always there to watch Boston or lend me an egg or whatever! It's great, especially since my family lives 4 hours away.

So far this year... I've been pregnant. We announced it on Chistmas and were so excited to find out in March that we are having a baby girl! It started out with morning "all day" sickness and it's always amazing to watch your belly grow and feel those sweet baby kicks. I am so excited to meet her in August! We also finished our basement and are really enjoying the extra room. JT has also decided to go back to school (I am so grateful!) and I'm trying to be tough having him gone 2 nights a week. Boston will also be 2 on Friday (The 4th of July) and I can't believe how my baby is growing up!

Yesterday I...Woke up at 5:45am. I swear Boston knows when I am home on the weekends and gets up EXTRA early! It was better than having to get up at my ususal 3am, but since I was up until midnight the two nights prior (Jt and I went to Tim Mcgraw and Whitney and I went to Lady Antibellum .. Thanks Eagle!) I was exhausted. I stumbled through church and then my darling husband let me take a 3 hour nap!

Today I... Woke up at 3am. Actually I don't really remember going to sleep. I took a unisom at 7:30 pm, but the stupid dog kiddie corner from us was barking and barking and barking. I finally moved downstairs at 9:30 pm but I swear I had to get up and pee atleast 3 times between then and my alarm at 3am so I'll be a zombie again today.

Tomorrow...I hope to clean my house in preparation for Boston's birthday and all my family coming into town. My Dad will turn 50 tomorrow!! I look up to him and love him so much. I miss being able to go up to his dental lab that was above our garage to see him any time I want. I hope Boston and I can play outside with the neighbors and I need to pull all my icky weeds that come back with avengance!

This year I hope to....Enjoy my babies!! JT and I think this is the end of the road for us as far as children are concerned. One boy .. one girl.. a dog.. what more could we ask for?! I want to enjoy Jocelyn as a newborn and not worry so much about doing everything right. I want to do the same with Boston. They grow up so fast! I hope to get a bit more sleep (although I doubt that will happen.) I want to go on dates with JT and just be content with life and where we are at.

I tag... Kelli Crisler (you need something to do to past the time since you are now past due with baby Taylor!) Ashley, Kim Bess (because you need to update your blog badley!) and Cat.

I didn't know you went to acting school, and I didn't know your family was so far away. Our family is in Vegas, with one amazing Aunt in South Jordan. But it is rough not being around family. Date nights are tough.
