Friday afternoon we headed to Redlands, California for uncle CJ's wedding. (this is JT's twin) It was Boston's first plane ride and it started out a little rocky. We barely.. and I mean barely made our flight. I have never run so hard in my life. I threw Boston's stroller down the escalator (he was out of it, and in my arms mind you!) and by the time we reached the plane and fought them to let us on I was literally hyperventilating. We had to throw away all of our "get ready" stuff because we were too late to check our bags.. but I didn't care as long as we made the flight and didn't miss the wedding. It was stressful to say the least.. but I guess it meant I didn't have time to think about my fear of flying. Boston did
fabulous on the plane there and back. He loved pushing the little window up and down and putting the tray up and down and I had to keep restraining him from kicking the seat in front of him.. but with some crayons, books, and treats he never even cried.The wedding was a success and Brooke looked so gorgeous; CJ was equally handsome.. and it was really nice to see them finally tie the knot. Her little girl Avie thought she was Cinderella and I really think it couldn't have gone better. Boston was ornery off and on because of the lack of a nap.. but he made it through. ( I tried so hard to be a more relaxed Mom and just let him nap whenever.. and I let him stay up a little later than normal. This was hard for me.. very very hard, and when Curious George was thrown
towards my face at 3:15 am by my son who was bouncing off the walls from sleep deprivation I reminded myself as to why I am a schedule nazi... but we were on vacation and I knew I had to give in a little. We slept in a different room from Boston after the curious george flinging night!)On the wedding night I was treated to a night out with the girls. It was so beyond fun and just what I needed! We ate at cheesecake factory and I just couldn't stop smiling because it's a rarity that I get to leave the Motherly duties to pretend I'm young and free
again. ( Don't get me wrong I love my boy to pieces.. and it's because of that love that I rarely leave him!)We did however have a bit of disappointment during the trip. We planned to take Boston to this little water park called Pharoah's, but when we arrived a sign said it was closed for the summer!! What water park closes for the summer? Boston even let out this Taradactile scream as we turned away.. he wanted to go play so bad! We decided to invent our own water park in Grandpa Young's backyard and he had a blast playing in the little pool and sprinklers we set up.

Monday we spent the day at the beach and Boston was so cute. I
think he was very overwhelmed by the ocean and only got brave enough to let it touch him a couple of times. He loved gazing out at the water though and playing in the sand. We'd try to build a castle and he'd knock it down. It was really cute to watch his curiosity. I burned my shoulders and back because I thought there was no way I'd burn;
because I usually tan pretty easily.. but now I'm paying the price, and if I peel I'm going to be very upset!Boston also loved running around Grandpa Young's house. He discovered this little Winnie the
Pooh snowglobe and wanted me to shake it up and play the music over and over and over. He also love, love , loved Grandpa's big bathtub for tubby time. He quickly found out where it was and would run there everynight when we annouced it was "tubby time."
It was so nice to just have 4 days of relaxation, sun, and family. I think we all really needed it. It's always so nice to come home though and our little Snuggle dog was very excited to see us.. although I think he is a little bitter we left him. I'll have to give him some extra attention today.

Carly I love reading your posts. I can really picture what's going on. Sounds like a great time. Sorry we missed you when you guys came down. I would've loved to watch JT's biathlon as well. We only have a few short months left.
Ha Ha Ha...most "naturally" beautiful in the neighborhood? Max would die laughing if he read that one! It's all makeup, that's why no one ever sees me without it. One of these days I'll have to post a picture of me without it, the problem is that I look so different that no one would believe me that it was really me! The pictures from CA look so beautiful, and what woman looks great pregnant in a swimsuit? I think you're the first one that I have seen! Sooo cute! It makes me want to be on a beach right now. P.S. this is Maria, not Max
Ok, in the bath tub picture Boston reminds me SO much of the twins baby pictures.
Carly,
You are the skinniest pregnant person ever. You look great!
I love the pictures you posted. Boston is getting so big. I miss you guys like crazy and think about you all the time.
Love ya!
You're going to hate me, but I enlarged the pic of you in your bathing suit and you look amazing! If my memory serves me correctly I had to return that swimsuit top because I couldn't fill it out! Sad huh? Glad you're back, we haven't seen you for awhile!
Erin is right. You do look great, Carly. It sounds like you had as much fun on the beach as we did. I've decided that we need our own beach. Thanks for your help the other day with my blog.
