A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

We must have been Very Good this year because Santa was very good to us! The kids were so excited. The night before when we talked to Boston about how when he woke up in the morning Santa will have come he shouted out "WAHOO" and I don't know that he slept much that night. In the morning he told me he heard Santa come. I love how enthusiastic he is about Holiday's. When I went into Jocelyn's room on Christmas morning she said "Ho Ho, Me, House, Treat!" She loved her babies and dress-ups. Her FurReal cat and dog. Boston finally got his "Wall-E closes" and his "Eve with a Plant" he also loved his Woody doll, Lego Batman Cave, and remote control Iron man, his Iron man hand, and Toy Story Mania game. JT was spoiled with an IPAD that now gets much more attention than I do and the elves built me a beautiful bench for our dining room table. I love it! I'm glad that the tree and decor are down now.. but I love this time of the year. Of giving and remembering the birth of our Savior.

Jocelyn and I were able to join in on the fun at Boston's Christmas party with Pathway's Pre-school at Autism Journey's. It was fun to see how much Boston enjoyed music time and his little performance was so cute. I loved the song "I'm Me and Your You" and how they celebrate the uniqueness in all of us. Boston loves the song Frosty the Snowman... and he is darling singing it!!

Boston decided he wanted to make a cake one day.. and when he sets his mind to something we usually end up doing it! I told him we could make cupcakes for Jesus for his birthday. Jocelyn was more than happy to join in on the fun. There was too much frosting, too many sprinkles, but the kids love helping in the kitchen every time.

For about 2 months all we heard here in the Young household was about how Boston wanted to go on the "Polar Express." Boy were we grateful when the day finally came. We left poor Jocey with Grandma to sleep because we knew she would be a "train wreck" if we didn't. We took Aunt Kelli and cousin Taylor with us and they had so much fun. We sand songs and ate cookies as we made our way up to the North Pole. Santa and Mrs. Clause came aboard and the whole thing was so fun and magical. Thank You 101 5 the Eagle for our tickets! (being in radio has a few little perks!)

Boston entertained us with his Christmas performance with NewCastle Preschool. He covered his ears most of the time, but attended beautifully and even sang a bit! The songs have lingered in our home over the last few weeks. His teachers at NewCastle adore him and I am always brought to emotion over this when the child who is expected to be a "problem" succeeds!
