I Rode An Elephant Over the Weekend!

Jt and I took a fabulous little trip to Denver over the weekend to see our dear friends Ben and Ashley. We took this trip last year and hope to make it a tradition. We love Ben and Ash so much. Even if we don't see or talk to each other in a while, when we get together it instantly seems like the good old days. Ashley and I worked together at Far West Bank and we both graduated from the U of U in Communications. We hung out all the time pre-kids and before they left us and moved to Colorado :( Now they have two darling kiddos Kai and Cicilly and two sweet little pups Willie and Harley. Snuggles took the road trip with us and had a blast with his two petite little friends. Boston and Jocey went to St. George with my Incredible parents. My Mom and Dad drove all the way to Spanish Fork and back to St. George twice in 4 days just to take our kids. They are amazing.

Ash and I hit up TJ Maxx the first night we were in town. Ashley introduced me to the wonderful world of TJ Maxx and I scored a fabulous purse on sale the first night in! Friday we went to this dream contemporary home and did just that.. dreamed. One of the things I also love about Ashley is her style. We have exactly the same taste in decor so she is really fun to look at houses with and shop. JT and Ben hit up the golf course and Ash and I watched "It's Complicated" while the kids napped. Their kids are so good, they actually sleep!

Saturday we headed off to the Colorado Renaissance Fair. It was really fun to people watch (there's some crazies out there!) and Ashley, Kai and I rode an Elephant! It was a quick ride but so cool. I sat up front and was amazed as he flapped his ears open. They were like wings! It was so cool to touch her rough skin and just to say "We rode an Elephant!" we also saw a couple great comedy acts including the "Washing Wench Show" which was hilarious and we ate fried pickles that were to die for!

We just love being with these great friends, catching up, roasting marshmallows on their fire out back, and just being together. Thanks Ben and Ash for a great trip and thanks Mom and Dad for taking the kiddos. We couldn't have done it without you!
