4th of July

Everyone knows I LOVE the 4th of July. I love the heat, the fireworks, the food, the parades, the games (ok I don't really love the games..but I like to watch!) and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the fact that it's Boston's birthday. Here's some food for thought. JT is named after Thomas Jefferson (reverse it and it will all come together for ya.) Jefferson was his father's hero and I've always thought it was very cool that he was named after such an influential figure to the history of our country. Thomas Jefferson died on the 4th of July, and if I can't get anymore superstitius, I've recently read "Diagnosing Jefferson" which argues that Thomas Jefferson most likely suffered from Aspergers. Put this all together and I'd like to argue that Boston is destined for greatness. I know I'm his Mom, I'm biased, but I can't wait to tell Boston all of this history someday and I hope he can gather strength from it. Something just tells me he has some important work to do on this earth.

Boston loved the fireworks this year, even if he did plug his ears! We planned on taking him to the big show at Thanksgiving Point (he's never seen "real" fireworks because I am such a stickler on bedtime.) but in the tubby he told us he wanted to take a nap so..maybe next year!

Also, just proir to the 4th is Lehi Round-up Days. I haven't lived in Lehi for a couple years, but I still have to go back. We met up with aunt Annie and her kiddos and my Aunt Sonja and her family. Jocelyn LOVED her slurpee and they were both pretty good about watching the stock parade. There is nothing better than summer time!!

I loved your food for thought! That is so neat, and I agree Boston was sent here to do amazing things. You are so lucky to have him!

And I am jealous that you went to the Lehi Round up parade. Looks like fun!
