Weekend Update

JT flew to Cali to finish up some business with his Dad's Estate, and you know what they say "When Dad's away...we play!" My parents made the trip to stay with us, because as you all know I'm a baby and I could never be a single parent!

Of Course Grandma and Grandpa spoiled us all rotten.. again. We visited Discovery Gateway on Friday and the kiddos had an absolute blast! That is such a fun place, I wish it was closer.

Boston did fabulous at his little gym class this week; and recently he has been a pill so this was huge. He did almost everything the other kids did and he had an awesome substitute teacher. I was so proud he got to go get a Coke and M&M's and go through the car wash!

Every time we see a horse Boston says "Grandpa? Horses?" My Dad roped while they were up here (He took 7th place, won 50bucks and we went to breakfast!) Boston and our neighbor friends Caleb and Emma took rides on Money and had a blast. They also fed him hey and carrots. Boston can't get enough of it!!

My Mother in-law and Kelli, Lyman, and Taylor came Sunday to eat dinner with us and keep me company. I had constant help, which was wonderful! I told Boston his Daddy went flying in an airplane and the whole time he was gone.. he kept saying "Daddy flying!!"
And last but certainly not least we've decided to potty train Boston. (hence the pics at the top.) It's as hard as everyone has said. He hasn't made it to the potty once yet to catch the pee, but he tells me when he has to go "Stink Yuck!" which is good, I suppose. Any tips are much appreciated. We have him in underwear while he is in the house and pull-ups when we are in the car. Wish us good luck with this one.. we need it!
We are so happy to have JT back. He brought Boston back this huge bag of Pooh stuff from his Dad's and Boston loves every one of them.

Those are great pictures, Carly! I'm so glad you had people there to help you...I don't do so well when Ken is gone either. Taysum and Bailey are really into Winnie the Pooh right now, so it was really cute to see Boston burried in the Pooh toys! I have no advise for the potty training...I'm the worst...no success so far for me :(! I hope it goes better for you! I'm glad that JT is back for you! All the best! We love you guys!

Oh my goodness what cute pictures. He is growing so big. What the heck I never see you. I should just come knock on your door and invite myself over. I miss you girl!! Little Jocelyn is crawling? So adorable. I love Bostons face in that last shot...priceless and the stuffed animals..hehe Good times with Coke, m&m's and a Carwash!

Your kids are so cute!! I sure wish I could have a coke! I hated potty-training! The only advice I could really give you is hang in there and be consistent...it's a lot of work!! I had tried to potty-train Jimmy a few times, but gave up. It wasn't until he told me one morning while I was changing one of those major pee diapers that get all over their jammies that he wanted underwear on...no more diapers. So we stuck with it and about a month later he was completely trained (it's kind of crazy, but something just clicked inside Jimmy one day and after that he very, very rarely had an accident). Now we're teaching him to wipe himself...no fun either. Good Luck! Hope to get together with you guys soon.
