Taking Care of a Diva

I feel like I am SLOWLY getting the hang of this two kid thing, but Jocelyn is totally a little diva! She has lungs like I can not believe! Maybe I forgot about Boston crying this much, but it doesn't seem like he did. I was warned by many though that girls are drama right from the start, and I think they are right! We love her so much though. I could kiss her cheeks a thousand times a day and I sit and daydream all the time in the wee hours of the night about the shopping sprees and trips to the spa that we will take someday. I know this is a big no no, but one way I have found to make Jocey sleep a little better is to let her nap on her stomach during the day. My pediatrician approved so hopefully it's ok. It's helped a ton. Also, propping her on her side in between her crib wedge at night seems to work pretty good too. Some nights are better than others, but that's just kids for ya!

Boston is still handling things much better than I ever expected. We have gotten him to give her kisses, although he backs away pretty quick as soon as he is done. Maybe for once I should be grateful that he can block people out like it's nobody's business because I don't think he would ever even get close enough to her to ever hurt her. I hope he will love her someday, but right now he keeps his distance. He has been a doll though lately. I am so proud of him. He has started saying several new words. He can say cat and truck clear as day and he lets us know whenever he sees either one! He can also say ball, shoes, socks, milk, eyes, belly, and duck along with his usual juice, no, go, and bye! The other night he was so cute and thought he needed to go to bed with his sunglasses on! Luckily he decided against it just before he went to bed, but these days it's always a guessing game of what he'll want to take to bed with him along with his old faithful friend George. (Tonight it was his Lightening Mcqueen car!) I guess I'll pick my battles! We have also started him in a class at the Little Gym and it is so much fun to go with him. He did so much better this week than he did the first week and it's teaching him so much. I look forward to it every Saturday morning and it's so nice to have some one on one time with him since I usually have Jocelyn attatched to me throughout the day!

Oh but they are so worth it! I love baby girls! The bows, braclets and all the frills! I wouldn't worry too much about the belly sleeping, both my kids have been belly sleepers since day one. My doc also said it was fine as long as I kept a close watch. Plus, we don't fit into any of the high-risk catagories (at least I don't think you're black!) :)

Soooo cute! And Boston belongs in sunglasses! He is such a doll! Did the doc say anything about Jocelyn having reflux? She just sounds so much like what Brin was like...super loud, doing better on her side or tummy. (I seriously think I am a little more hard of hearing since Brin's been around!) I hope things are going better! Sounds like you're doing great!!!

Oh Carly YOu are such an amazing mom and person. I just love you so much. I love your beautiful kids!!I honestly think whatever helps you to get more sleep DO IT> Cambree slept in her carseat every night for 3 months. Everyone was so worried it would be dangerous but she turned out just fine. The dr even told us it was fine. He too said whatever works. She was in our room anyway and we could hear her breathing. She would wake up every hour when she slept on her back. In the car seat it was 5 hours at a time. Wahooo!

I love you, because you are always looking out for the best interest of your kids. As with most great mommy's, your kids come first. They are both so sweet.
