Sunny St. George

We were able to spend President's Day weekend visiting my parents and siblings in St. George. It was more fun and warmer than I can even describe. After looking at 3 feet of snow on my front lawn for what has seemed like eternity, seeing grass again was miraculous. Boston played outside everyday we were there, and had a blast doing things like transfering dirt between my Mom's pots out back and picking all the leaves off her shrubs. (sorry Mom!) He went with my parents to see the new little calf that was recently born where my Dad keeps his horse and he had the time of his life playing at this little park where kids can pump water and play in a little water fall that cascades down the rocks. He was soaked and muddy by the time he was done and we had to rush to the Old Navy sale to replace his clothes before going to dinner, but he had so much fun. My parents also let us escape as often as we could. They were always willing to watch Boston and my sister Hayley's little boy Jack. They gave us Parade of Home tickets for Valentine's Day and we loved seeing all the homes and ooing and awwhing and dreaming. Speaking of Valentines, Boston helped me make some this year. He is quite excellent at controlling the glue stick, even if people had a hard time getting them out of the envelopes because of the excess of glue! He loved gobbing on stickers and decals and it was so cute to watch him. Ofcourse the trip to St. George wouldn't have been complete without a shopping trip with my Mom and sis. My mom showed me this super cool dollar store where I actually found kitchen gadgets galore. (Mini spatula's, cool rubber pastry brushes, and neat graters. For those of you who know me, I get super excited over three material things. Kitchen items, abstract art and of course clothes. I was in heaven.) We also checked out Urban Renwal which is a St. George must and hit the Old Navy 40% off sale where Boston was totally hooked up with super cute clothes for summer. My dad also treated us to Samari 21 which is like Tepanyaki and you should have seen Boston shoveling in the noodles and rice!! The only downfall to the trip was JT is still sick and he was hacking the whole time we were there. I don't know if he had as much fun as the rest of us and I felt really bad. He hasn't slept with me in almost three weeks because of this cold and last night was the first night we slept together in a long time. I don't know if it was a great idea though because I kept waking up to what I thought was gun shots, but it was just him coughing. I really hope he gets better soon. Anyway, we can't wait to go back to St. George and we'll be honest, if we ever find an opportunity to move to sunny St. George it's sianara (sp?) to the snowy mess we currently call home.

I am so jealous! We don't make it to St. George nearly enough. Can I just go visit your mom? Do you think she'd mind?!? :)

YAY a new post!! - It sounds like you guys had a blast!! I love St. George, we've only been down there once, but it was great!! And comparing it to this snow...I'd rather go somewhere warm right now. Glad you had a great trip.

We miss you guys so much. We wish you lived here too. Not to make you jealous but it feels like it is 75 degrees here today. It is super nice! Well hopefully you can come back down for Easter. Oh by the way Jack and I went to the pool by Mom's house, the covered one and they do let babies in if they have a swim diaper on. So over Easter we will have to go. There is a whole area for little ones and if Boston is really daring he can go down the BIG slide with his mom. Jack tried it and I'm not sure he really liked it, but he didn't cry.

Hey, Carly!
Where is that awesome water park at? It looks like Boston was having so much fun! We'd like to check it out!
How are you feeling, by the way?
